Problematic Aspects of Grammar in Studying Russian for Uzbek-Speaking School Students

Abstract

This article examines the key grammatical obstacles that Uzbek-speaking students experience when learning Russian as a second language. Students struggle with gender, case usage, sentence construction, and vocabulary development since Russian and Uzbek have fundamentally different grammatical structures. The study focuses on the differences between Russian's inflectional system and Uzbek's agglutinative structure, as well as the sociocultural elements that influence language learning. Based on this study, the article makes specific recommendations for educators to improve Russian grammar teaching by including comparison approaches, contextual grammar training, and new pedagogical practices. These initiatives attempt to improve the proficiency and confidence of Uzbek-speaking pupils in Russian.
