Abstract

This article explores the history and development of parts of speech in various languages such as Russian, English, and Uzbek. The work examines the main stages of the formation of grammatical categories from ancient times to the present. Special attention is paid to the works of philosophers like Aristotle and Plato, as well as the contributions of ancient Greek and Roman grammarians to the systematization of parts of speech. The author emphasizes the importance of word classification in language and analyzes the evolution of parts of speech in the context of cultural and historical influences on each linguistic system.
