Abstract

Acute bronchitis (OB) is an acute inflammation of the tracheobronchial tree mucosa, usually self-stopping and ending with complete healing and restoration of the bronchial tree function within 2-3 weeks [1]. A longer (up to 6-8 weeks) course of the disease is considered as a prolonged course. OB is a manifestation of acute respiratory disease (ARI) of various etiologies – viral or bacterial, or viral-bacterial [2-6].
