Abstract

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a chronic neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive damage to dopaminergic neurons and symptoms such as trembling, muscle stiffness, and impaired coordination of movements. Despite significant advances in symptomatic treatment, there are no effective methods that can slow the progression of the disease or prevent its development. In recent years, science has been actively investigating the role of genetics in the pathogenesis of PD and the possibility of using this information for an individualized approach to treatment.
