Abstract

The problem of prevention and treatment of carotid atherosclerosis, including its early (preclinical, asymptomatic) forms, is of great medical, social and economic importance. Finding new methods for diagnosing, monitoring and preventing the progression of the atherosclerotic process with its “ malignancy ” in the form of the development of various forms of NMC is one of the most relevant in neurology. In this aspect, the multicomponent spectrum of pharmacological action, aimed at the main pathogenetic links of carotid atherosclerosis, allows Cavinton to be considered as an optimal remedy in urgent and preventive angioneurology.
