Intercultural Discourse: Concept, Content and Study Strategies

In this article the issues of determining the content of the term "intercultural discourse" are considered. The interrelation and interdependence of intercultural communication and discursive activity is analyzed. The main attention is paid to the need to teach intercultural discourse in the light of its national and cultural characteristics; at the same time, the interdisciplinary nature of this phenomenon is taken into account. The substantiation of the choice of interactive methods of teaching a foreign language in order to form the intercultural competence of students as a condition for the implementation of intercultural discourse is given.
