The Important Role of the Method of Total Physical Response in Teaching Different Age Groups with Varying Proficiency Levels

The learning and teaching process should be enjoyable both for the teacher and the learner leading to the requirement of choosing an appropriate method to be applied in the lesson. One method aiding the teacher in this very case is Total Physical Response (TPR). The main purpose of this article is to describe the importance of applying Total Physical Response (TPR) method in English teaching. Besides highlighting the benefits of TPR, some drawbacks of it and ways how to avoid them will be discussed. Moreover, the reader will also be informed about the forms of activities conducted through this method which indeed serves for the improvement of the lesson procedures conducted by them.
