Abstract

Examining the issue of creating and shaping the media image of a young independent state like Uzbekistan, which appeared on the world geopolitical map, it is clear that the differences in attitudes to the reforms in our country are serious problems. Today, the world is ruled by major information centers. For example, Reuters has offices in 200 cities in 94 countries, while the Associated Press has 243 offices in 120 countries. The news agency's information is disseminated daily to more than 1,700 newspapers, about 5,000 TV channels and radio stations. It should be noted that in such circumstances, the provision of information is likely to be goal-oriented and one-sided. In addition, the information is delivered to the world community in the form and interpretation desired by the owners of the agency. The media is one of the main sources of information and socialization in our society. It is therefore an important factor influencing people’s stereotypes. Recent research confirms this statement. Consistent, unique media information has a long-term impact on its audience over a relatively wide period of time. This can be very effective in influencing the media’s people’s long-term image of other countries. In addition, the media is considered important as a means of influencing people's opinion.
