Abstract

Based on their origin, they distinguish between nociceptive, neurogenic (neuropathic) and psychogenic pain. Chronic low back pain can develop through all three pathophysiological mechanisms. The perception of damaging stimuli is carried out by nociceptors - pain receptors, which in the form of free nerve endings are widely represented in the skin, subcutaneous tissue, periosteum, joints, muscles, and internal organs.
