Abstract

Heart failure (HF) remains a major health challenge despite existing treatments. Gene therapy, which involves modifying genetic material within cells, has emerged as a promising approach to address the underlying causes of HF. Recent advancements in gene delivery techniques, including viral vectors, CRISPR, and RNA-based therapies, offer potential to repair cardiac tissue, enhance function, and slow disease progression. This review examines the role of gene therapy in HF treatment, highlighting recent research developments, clinical challenges, and future prospects for improving patient outcomes.
