Abstract

This article presents the opinions of domestic and foreign scientists on the clinical and immunological evaluation of the effectiveness of surfactant treatment in very low birth weight premature infants. Premature infants with very low birth weight (VLBW, <1500 g) are at high risk for respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) due to insufficient surfactant production. Surfactant therapy has become a cornerstone in the management of RDS, significantly improving survival and reducing complications. Evaluating its clinical and immunological effectiveness is crucial for optimizing outcomes.
