The aim of the study was to retrospectively analyze late postoperative complications at one-stage and two-stage laparoendoscopic treatment of patients with gallstone disease complicated by choledocholithiasis.
The article presents a retrospective analysis of late postoperative complications during laparoendoscopic treatment of patients with gallstone disease complicated by choledocholithiasis depending on the stage of treatment. Late postoperative complications were more common in the two-stage treatment group. Chances of developing chronic pancreatitis, scar stricture of common bile duct and recurrence of choledocholithiasis were 3.387 times greater in the two-stage group compared to the one-stage treatment group (95% CI: 0.343 - 33.409) ; 2.262 (95% CI: 0.400 - 12.786) ; 2.262 (95% CI: 0.400 - 12.786).
