PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF SEVERAL HYDRAZONE DERIVATIVES DERIVED FROM METHYL QUINOLINE-6-CARBOXYLATE AND EVALUATION OF THEIR BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY
Abstract
This study involved the synthesis of hydrazone derivatives from the reaction between Quinoline – 6 - carboxylate and aqueous hydrazine. The prepared compounds were characterized using FT-IR and H1,C13 NMR spectroscopy techniques. The ratio of the prepared compounds was found to be favorable. Subsequently, the antibacterial activity of the hydrazone derivatives was evaluated against two types of pathogenic bacteria. The results showed excellent efficacy, with sproflexin used as a reference for comparison.Downloads
