Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with periods of remission followed by periods of exacerbation. Atopic dermatitis affects the quality of life of the child and his entire family. Topical corticosteroids are the gold standard for treating the disease. Topical calcineurin inhibitors are prescribed from the age of two as a second-line therapy. In cases of severe, resistant to traditional therapy of the course of the disease, cyclosporin A and extremely rarely oral glucocorticoid-containing drugs are used. Biological therapy is one of the modern treatment options, probably replacing the immunosuppressive and hormonal treatment of atopic dermatitis with a progressive course of the disease.Downloads
