Abstract

Burns are called tissue damage caused by thermal, chemical, electrical or radiation energy. Thus, according to the etiological factor, burns are usually called thermal, chemical and radiation. Almost two-thirds of all burns are caused by an open flame. In second place are burns from boiling water, and in third place from touching hot objects. These are thermal burns. This is followed by chemical and radiation burns.

Children suffering from such contractures are significantly behind their peers, both in physical and psychological development. According to recent reports, there has been an increase in the frequency of post-burn scar contractures of the fingers of the hand, and the frequency of disability for this reason reaches 40%.

Post-burn scar deformities of the fingers of the hand are characterized by a pronounced shortage of skin resources suitable for reconstructive and reconstructive interventions, which significantly complicates the treatment of these patients
