The Role of International Relations in the Scientific Activities of the Termiz Museum of Archaeology

Abstract

During the period of independence, it has not only radically changed the economy and politics of the Republic of Uzbekistan, but also played an important role in the cultural life of the country, including the study, preservation and promotion of rich historical heritage.

In particular, the mission of the Surkhandarya Regional Archaeological Museum in Termez, built on the personal initiative and project of the First President.

The Termez Archaeological Museum is a specialized museum in Central Asia with an entrance and 9 main halls and a gallery of stone architecture.

The relief map of Surkhandarya region shows more than 20 archeological monuments of different periods of the region's history.

In the entrance hall of the museum there are unique stone and plaster sculptures of different historical periods, a stone pool and large ceramic vessels (khums).

In 9 main halls there are exhibits from primitive human stone tools found in Surkhandarya region (from 100 thousand years BC to the beginning of the 20th century AD) in chronological order to works of art created by masters of the region.
