Abstract

The work examines national stereotypes of the 19th century. The national stereotype presents evolutionary historical processes that influence the manifestation of character traits in traditional (everyday) and extreme situations. The author argues that every nation at all times has several personality types depending on their belonging to a social class, this was especially evident in Russian literature of the 19th century.
