Abstract

The study focuses on analyzing the genre variety of fantasy literature, shedding light on gaps in existing scholarly works. For the first time in this article, a comprehensive comparative analysis of various types of fantasy literature is presented, including classic fairy tales, fantasy, horror literature, and science fiction. The paper identifies key genre characteristics and links them to mythology, folklore, and the romantic tradition. The research holds theoretical and practical significance for developing courses on literature theory and history, as well as for writing monographs and textbooks.
