Synthesis of amines based on local raw materials

Abstract

87 g of DYOC (distilled fatty acids) were weighed on an analytical balance into a round-bottomed flask, and 9 g of trichlorinated phosphorus (PCl3) was weighed and dissolved under stirring. Then the flask was heated for two hours in an electric oven with an air cooler. After two hours, the flask was removed from the electric furnace and cooled. 75 ml of 25% aqueous solution of ammonia was poured into the cooled reaction mixture using a separatory funnel.
