Abstract

Bronchial asthma and obesity are two global public health challenges whose prevalence continues to rise worldwide. Recent research demonstrates a link between excess body weight and an increased risk of developing asthma. The aim of this article is to analyze current data on the pathophysiological mechanisms connecting obesity with bronchial asthma, as well as to discuss the clinical and epidemiological implications of this association.
