Forensic science is a legal science about methods of investigating crimes, collecting and examining forensic evidence. It develops a system of special techniques, methods and means of collecting, examining and evaluating forensic evidence used in criminal proceedings to prevent, solve and investigate crimes, as well as used in the judicial consideration of criminal and, in some cases, civil cases.
