Abstract

This article examines the significance of epidemiology in the prevention and control of infectious diseases. Analyzing the spread of diseases and studying methods for managing them during epidemics and pandemics are among the key functions of epidemiology. The article also discusses how epidemiological research supports public health efforts in implementing effective measures to reduce disease transmission.
