REVIEW ARTICLE ABOUT BLOOD PRESSURE AND ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE

This research discussed pressure in general, atmospheric pressure and blood pressure, as pressure is the force acting vertically on the surface area, and blood pressure is the pressure that blood exerts on the arteries. In the second chapter, we talked about blood pressure and atmospheric pressure more broadly in terms of high and low blood pressure, mercury and digital blood pressure measuring devices, their types and components, as well as atmospheric pressure measuring devices. In this research, we have concluded that atmospheric pressure is the force exerted by air above the surface, while blood pressure is the force of blood pushing against the walls of blood vessels. It has been shown that atmospheric pressure is no different from blood pressure, as they are related to each other, as when atmospheric pressure decreases, blood pressure decreases automatically, as well as the difference in readings of electronic devices from mercury. We also found that the laboratory-made device has an accuracy closer to the standard device manufactured by a manufacturing company, and it was found that the standard deviation is 5 mm Hg for diastolic pressure and 3.7 mm Hg for systolic pressure. It was found that the deviation in this percentage does not affect the doctor’s determination of whether the person whose pressure is to be measured has high blood pressure or not.
