Abstract

The relevance is due to the high prevalence of this form of pathology of the nervous system - the frequency of the most common extrapyramidal diseases is: Parkinson's disease from 100 to 250 people per 100 thousand population; in the older age group (over 80 years) 1200-1500 per 1 million; essential tremor - about 400 cases per 100 thousand population. The variety of manifestations, individual characteristics and dynamics of extrapyramidal disorders, the lack of absolute clinical and paraclinical criteria for recognizing extrapyramidal syndromes make the management of patients with diseases of the extrapyramidal system one of the most difficult areas of clinical neurology. It should also be noted that over the past decade, new diagnostic and treatment technologies have been rapidly introduced into practice, new regulatory documents have emerged, which necessitates continuous training of doctors to provide effective medical care to neurological patients with pathology of the extrapyramidal system, taking into account modern advances in medical science.
