Abstract

Compliance in medicine is voluntary adherence to the prescribed treatment regimen of the patient. In the broad sense of the word, it means that the patient is committed to following all the doctor's instructions: daily routine, diet, exercise, proper medication. However, often compliance means that patients follow the drug therapy regimen.
