Abstract

The motivation for the use of implantation prostheses is the high aesthetic and adaptive capabilities of such structures. The only absolute indication for prosthetics using implants is pronounced atrophy of the alveolar part of the lower jaw, in which it is difficult to achieve an adequate closing functional valve (Clinical recommendations – treatment protocols, with the diagnosis of "Complete absence of teeth: complete secondary adentia, loss of teeth due to an accident, removal or localized periodontitis", 2014). However, treatment with implants has an increased risk of complications [1.3]. Pronounced atrophy of the alveolar processes (vertical and horizontal resorption), their relationship with the maxillary sinuses, the base of the pear-shaped opening, the mandibular canal often complicate and create impossible conditions for planning and treatment with dental implants in POS. Moreover, decompensated pathology of internal organs, such as type I diabetes mellitus, thyroid and parathyroid gland dysfunction, pituitary and adrenal gland diseases, malignant neoplasms, make such treatment simply impossible. A common relative contraindication in women is osteoporosis, especially after ovariectomy. In addition, dental rehabilitation with orthopedic treatment on implants is not implemented in more than half of patients due to their refusal due to economic opportunities [2.4].
