Abstract

The article describes issues based on developing the communicative competence of students through reading authentic texts. Reading authentic texts plays a significant role in the practical mastery of the language being studied, acts as a means of information, educational and professionally oriented activities of the student, as a means of self-education. In the practice of teaching foreign languages, reading is given priority. This is because reading skills can actually be used in everyday life, they are formed faster and easier than speaking, writing and listening skills.
