Technology of Teaching Reading and Translation of Scientific and Technical Literature to Specialists of Non-Linguistic Specialties

Abstract

The article is devoted to the main approaches to teaching translation of scientific and technical texts. The article discusses approaches to the classification of translation; methods of translation of scientific-style texts; the main requirements that a good translation should satisfy. Special attention is paid to general and specific translation skills and abilities that are formed with the help of theoretical, practical and extra linguistic knowledge in the process of speech activity and in the process of performing special exercises.
