Structural-Semantic and Linguistic Features of Anthroponyms in English and Uzbek

Abstract

The study of anthroponyms, or personal names, reveals significant structural-semantic and linguistic features that vary across languages and cultures. This paper examines the anthroponyms in English and Uzbek, focusing on their formation, meaning, and cultural implications. By analyzing the morphological structures, semantic fields, and linguistic characteristics of personal names in both languages, this research aims to highlight the similarities and differences in naming conventions and their cultural significance. The findings will contribute to a deeper understanding of how anthroponyms reflect societal values, historical contexts, and linguistic evolution in English and Uzbek-speaking communities.
