Abstract

In an increasingly volatile financial environment, the effectiveness of risk management methodologies in credit institutions has become a cornerstone of financial stability, profitability, and regulatory compliance. This article examines the conceptual foundations and practical implementation of comprehensive risk management systems, focusing on the identification, measurement, control, and reporting of various types of financial risks. Particular attention is given to the role of corporate governance, information technology infrastructure, and human capital in supporting a risk-aware organizational culture. Drawing on international standards, notably the Basel III framework, the paper analyzes global best practices and evaluates their applicability to developing financial markets. The study concludes by offering strategic recommendations for enhancing the resilience and operational efficiency of risk management systems in credit institutions.
