The article examines the priority directions of further development of the economy by improving operations with securities in joint-stock companies. The theoretical foundations of the functioning of the securities market, the dynamics of its development, the structure of trading and the participation of joint-stock companies in the issue and turnover of securities are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the problems of low liquidity, legal barriers and protection of investors improving securities transactions, including regulatory reforms, development of financial instruments and digitalization. The prospects for the development of the market and its impact on the country's economy are considered.
