Abstract

This article examines the state of clean water and sanitation infrastructure in Uzbekistan, highlighting the progress made and the challenges that remain. Key issues include water quality and availability, particularly in rural areas, outdated infrastructure, and fragmented water management. The article proposes policy solutions to enhance water and sanitation services, including significant investment in upgrading and expanding infrastructure, adopting advanced technologies, and implementing integrated water resource management (IWRM). By fostering comprehensive strategies, Uzbekistan can ensure sustainable access to clean water and sanitation, contributing to improved public health, economic development, and environmental sustainability.
