Abstract

This study aimed to assess the competencies and job satisfaction of construction workers in a developing country. Data were collected through a survey of 200 construction workers, including engineers and human resource personnel. The study used a competency framework to evaluate respondents' job performance across different dimensions. The results showed that construction workers' competencies were moderately effective across all competency dimensions. Moreover, job satisfaction was found to be moderate, with the majority of respondents reporting satisfaction with their salary and benefits. The study highlights the importance of developing training and development programs that focus on enhancing construction workers' competencies to improve their job performance and job satisfaction.
