The Role of European Countries in the Economic and Social Development of Our Country
Abstract
In order to support political and socio-economic reforms in our country, the European Union has been implementing technical assistance projects of the Commission of European Communities in our Republic since the first years of our independence. Within the framework of this cooperation, Uzbekistan actively participates in regional programs such as BOMKA, which is specialized in ensuring the security of borders of the European Union, KADAP, which is focused on combating narcotics, TRASEKA, which is specialized in transport issues, INOGEYT, in energy issues, as well as TEMPUS in the field of education, and specialized projects in the field of science. .The importance of transport corridors for Uzbekistan in entering the European markets is incomparable. Therefore, in 1993, the TRASEKA program aimed at the development of the transport and communication corridor connecting Central Asia with the European Union was founded. Among the main goals of the TRASEKA program were to encourage the entry of Central Asian and Caucasian countries, including Uzbekistan, to the European and world markets, to ensure the inclusion of the TRASEKA corridor into Trans-European transport, and to encourage the attraction of investments from international financial organizations.
