Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the problem of poverty from the point of view of the methods and approaches used in the assessment of this social phenomenon in modern countries.The main approaches to the interpretation of the concept of” poverty", as well as some concepts that explain the complexity of measuring poverty as a social phenomenon, are considered.
